About Me

I am Zhu77. I grew up in Ningbo, a peaceful port city in China, studied in Shanghai, and now live in the Bay Area. Currently, I am an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley, studying Applied Mathematics and Political Economy.

I have been blogging on WeChat Official for over eight years as a hobby. I regard writing as a cathartic activity; it helps me slow down and stay calm. It is also fun to capture what I see, experience, and think at the moment; looking back at past entries, I am often struck by how much my perspective has grown.

As my interests and experiences expand, I am excited to create this new space where my thoughts develop in different phases. This inspired the name PHASE 77. The “77” comes from my childhood nickname 期期, which sounds the same in Chinese and symbolizes “anticipation for the future.”

My posts range from short reading notes to long, in-depth life reflections, covering everything from personal insights to broader social issues. I’m always happy to discuss—feel free to leave a comment or reach out via DM. At its core, this blog is rooted in a simple yet genuine purpose: to think, write, and connect. Thank you for visiting and being part of this evolving journey of my thoughts.
